HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: We offered a viewing of the entire series on two separate occassions to all internal staff; We ordered 50 additional copies to distribute throughout the Division of Chronic Disease Prevention and place in our Department's library; Leadership in the Division is strongly encouraging all staff to view the series, with work time is being alloted for the viewing; We conducted a survey to gauge the awareness of staff and get ideas about what the Division could accomplish; Staff in Division will participate in group discussions about the series and health equities during the months of December and January. We then plan to conduct a follow-up survey and host a Division wide retreat to share the results and the goals and objectives of each Section to increase health equity. In addition, we are sharing the series with our external state and local partners to facilitate discussions and action planning.
