HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: Crete's Culinary Sanctuaries organizes experiential learning programs for professional researchers of nutrition and health, Mediterranean Diet practices. Our focus includes sustainable organic farming practices, food production and conservation. Seminar attendees gain knowledge these interrelated practices that can help them in their work anywhere in the world.

CCS was founded in 1998 by Nikki Rose, a Greek American professional chef, writer and food-conservation activist. CCS is an award-winning program, featured in UN Convention on Biological Diversity Success Stories, National Geographic publications, NPR, New York Times, O Globo (Brasil), TV New Zealand, and many sustainable tourism and nutrition publications.
