HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: Healthy Connections Network is a non-profit community collaborative of 38 local organizations working to improve access to health and health care for lower income and underserved residents of our county. We work in collaboration with the state and local Office of Minority Health and local Minority Health Roundtable, providing a forum for a broad spectrum of community health and social service organizations to focus and collaborate together to address local issues affecting health equity. We oversee a volunteer-based health access program called "Access to Care" that links volunteer providers (M.D. and other) to eligible lower income residents of the county.
