HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: We have a number of projects that get at the determinants of health:
1) Pathways to Education is a neighbourhood-based program for youth, a comprehensive program that involves social, academic, financial, and advocacy supports. The program has shown outstanding results in Toronto: dramatically lowering drop out rates, increasing post secondary school acceptance and attendance, and lowering neighbourhood crime rates.
2) Community Action Program for Children is a child development program for parents and children 0-6
3) Families and Schools Together is a research-based program that connects parents, children and schools and communities to form bonds and supports.
4) Workplace Skills Initiative works with small and meduium business owners to increase their knowledge of employee health and wellness
