HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: We serve low-income clients in 23 counties in Northern California, a service area the size of Ohio, through nine offices and five special advocacy programs. Health is one of the core issues in our program. We operate a Health Rights Hotline, a Senior Legal Hotline, a Long Term Care Ombudsman program and the Health Insurance Counseling and Information program. Our offices also assist in land use siting problems for clinics, mental health programs and homeless programs. Our health equity task force meets four times per year.
