HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: We currently have an active D & HR department with a focus on education, complaints resolution, and policy development. We have undertaken a workforce census, a research study on how staff from marginalized groups experience our workplace environment, and a community consultation with underserved patient groups. Health equity is a relatively new project in Ontario and we have just completed a plan for our hospital to address health inequities.
