HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: We inform school district administrators, board members, and PTA leaders about the role of nutrition in school success and health. Lately, we have focused on how vitamin D could close the Achievement Gap, which is wider for students of color and, evidently, overlooked as a factor in the Gap as well as in the higher dropout rate for students of color.
