HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: 1) Conducting provider trainings on cultural competency and the mandated CLAS Standards
2) Working with Communities of Health to promote dialogue about social and environmental determinants of health and develop a call to action with state legislators
3) Educating minority groups about their rights related to the mandated CLAS standards
4) Developing a Bill Draft Request (BDR) to establish April as Minority Health Awareness month in Nevada to inform and educate the public about health inequities to bring attention to this issue
5) Developing a BDR to require schools of medicine, pharmacy, nursing, dentistry, and other allied health professional programs to include as a core requirement in their curriculum coursework on cultural competency

- Host a screening event featuring UNNATURAL CAUSES
- Engage in media outreach
- Post and share information about the series with members and constituents
