HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: UW-Milwaukee is creating Wisconsin's first accredited School of Public Health to be co-located with Milwaukee Health Dept creating the state's first Academic Health department. The school will house the nascent Center for Health Equity, where researcher and practitioners will work together with community organizations to bring new knowledge to the community that can use it and benefit from it. We are also creating the country's first School of Freshwater Sciences that will bring critical water technology to the world with the aim of providing drinking water for everyone who needs it, not just those that can afford it.
