HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: We have a center focused on issues of health disparities. Faculty conducting research, writing grants to obtain funding to do this research,working within our community, creating community partnerships to address health issues in the areas surrounding VCU. For example working with state office of minority health, local departments of health in Henrico and Chesterfield to address infant mortality rates in African American community through a community-participatory based response and evaluation.
