It's My Community Initiative

LOCATION: Oklahoma City, OK, U.S.A.

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Community / Faith-based

FOCUS AREA: Children / Families, Education, Housing / Neighborhoods, Income & Wealth, Jobs & Work, Mental health / Psychology, Race / Ethnicity

HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: We are raising awareness by conducting a walk for members of the community, church groups, family, and individuals. The walk is designed to promote and encourage behavioral changes, healthy lifestyle choices and participation in physical activity. Participants will walk one mile to address obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, lack of nutrition and other preventable diseases. Health screenings, health talks and demonstrations will be available; all to help strengthen the future of northeast Oklahoma City.

I simply checked all "actions my organization plans to take" in order to learn more about what each involves. Thanks!
