HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: The Health Equity Action Team (HEAT) is a working group of Forsyth County Healthy Community Coalition and is housed within Forsyth County Department of Public Health. Its mission is to engage communities in Forsyth County to reduce health inequities by promoting awareness, organizing, and advocacy to address social and environmental determinants of health. HEAT members facilitate screenings of Unnatural Causes in the community, maintain a lending library of Unnatural Causes DVD's, and use Unnatural Causes Health Department trainings and in-service education.
