HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: We work for health equity by forming alliances with national and local action groups, through education of public and private organizations, and by enlisting sponsorship and legislative support among elected officials.

We are organizing support for House Resolution 676, a bill that would give all residents of the U.S. single payer health care. We have been successful in obtaining the support of the local central labor council, Local 6186 of the Communications Workers Union, and the Texas State AFL-CIO. Currently involved in getting the word out on this most viable piece of healthcare legislation in order to pressure Congress to make it a reality!
