LOCATION: Washington, DC, U.S.A. ORGANIZATION TYPE: Non-for-profit advocacy FOCUS AREA: Children / Families, Education, Health Care Delivery, Media / Journalism, Mental health / Psychology, Public Health, Public Policy, Race / Ethnicity HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: NASBHC promotes and supports the school-based health center (SBHC) model to ensure that all children receive affordable, high-quality health care. In June 2008, we featured UNNATURAL CAUSES at our national conference, with a keynote address from Dr. Tony Iton and a three-hour workshop session. Our conference theme was "Taking Action Against Health Inequity," and since one conference can't really equip our field, the 2009 conference is "School-based solutions to promote health equity." Our newsletters regularly contain articles and resources about the problem and solutions. ACTIVITIES WITH UNNATURAL CAUSES CAMPAIGN: FOR MORE INFORMATION:
