Communities of Color Coalition (C3)

LOCATION: Everett, WA, U.S.A.

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Community / Faith-based

FOCUS AREA: Children / Families, Education, Health Care Delivery, Housing / Neighborhoods, Immigration, Income & Wealth, Jobs & Work, Law, Mental health / Psychology, Public Health, Public Policy, Race / Ethnicity, Social Inclusion

HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: The Communities of Color Coalition is facilitating a series of community discussions on health disparities in different geographic locations in Snohomish County. We use selected segments of Unnatural Causes to stimulate and focus those discussions.

C3 problem solves and advocates for social justice, cultural and religious respect and human rights, especially for people of color and other under-represented groups. Our major areas of concern include but are not limited to the elimination of personal and institutional racism; equal access to and opportunities in education, economic development and employment, and fair and equal treatment under the law and in our society. All of these affect health equity.
