HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: MWPHA's Health Disparities Committee includes health professionals, community residents, and activists fighting for affordable housing, living wage jobs, drug treatment and youth programs as a way to prevent and alleviate the high rates of HIV in the District of Columbia. We also sponsor professional development programs that focus on health disparities/inequalities and unifying working class residents and students in alliances that promote anti-racism.
