HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: We are building awareness, capacity, and resources around a social determinants perspective as part of our ongoing strategic planning. We are using Unnatural Causes for staff development and promoting its use among community groups. We are incorporating the Marmot WHO report in our thinking about our staff activities and programs. We will carry out a more comprehensive, strategic plan using UC as a trigger for community discussions in 2009.

CCDPH staff is available to describe the discussion leader trainings in greater detail upon request. Local data, policy papers, and other material is available.
