HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: Wayne County Department of Public Health is working with the Joint Center Health Policy Institute Place Matters Design Lab on a project aimed at reducing overall infant mortality and in particular disparity in infant mortality by valuing womanhood adressing upstream social determinants of health such as self esteem/self determination, racism, social isolation and social perception of woman.

The Unnatural Causes series opens the eyes and ears of many of those who are working on our project. The Public Health Department hopes to continue to move toward upstream solutions in reducing this disparity.

ACTIVITIES WITH UNNATURAL CAUSES CAMPAIGN:
